The spoon that works for finesse perch presentations is not necessarily the right tool for reaching lake trout in deep water, staying in control in current, or triggering an aggressive northern pike. At Linn Creek Outdoors, the first decision is not simply color. It is choosing a spoon with the right action, profile, weight, and attraction for the species and conditions you expect to fish.
We select spoons for Canadian destination fishing and the species our customers pursue most: walleye, northern pike, lake trout, perch, and panfish. We do not offer spoons simply to create a wall of nearly identical choices. Every spoon family should have a clear purpose and earn its place in your tackle box.
Why Fish a Spoon?
Spoons create flash, vibration, and movement without requiring complicated rigging. Depending on their design, they can be vertically jigged, cast across structure, or worked through open water. Their metal construction also allows anglers to change depth and fall rate by selecting the appropriate weight.
Lighter spoons provide a slower, more controlled presentation for shallow water, finesse fishing, and less aggressive fish. Heavier spoons reach depth faster, maintain better control in wind and current, and provide a larger presentation for walleye, northern pike, and lake trout.

The Swedish Pimple is a classic American-made, solid-brass jigging spoon that produces flash and an erratic, baitfish-like action through the ice or when vertically jigged from a boat. Available in weights from 1/4 oz through 3/4 oz, the lineup covers finesse perch and shallow-water walleye presentations through deeper jigging for walleye, northern pike, and lake trout.

Within each spoon system, products are organized by color because many anglers begin with a pattern they know and trust. After choosing your color, select the weight on the product page based on target species, depth, current, desired fall rate, and the size of presentation you want to create.
