Trip Ready Systems
Destination specific tackle systems built with proven weights, colors, and presentations for the water you’re preparing to fish.
A 1 oz jig built to control a large plastic in Lake Winnipeg wind and current is not the same starting point as a 3/8 oz jig for working a Canadian Shield reef. Fall river walleye require a progression of weights as current and depth change, while fall lake trout demand heavier jigs, multiple forage profiles, and line capable of controlling the entire presentation.
Trip Ready Systems are built around those differences.
At Linn Creek Outdoors, we begin with the destination, target species, season, and presentation. We then select the jig weights, colors, plastics, and line needed to cover the conditions an angler is likely to encounter. These are not random products grouped together as bundles. Every component has a specific job.
Choose the System for Your Water
-
Lake Winnipeg Walleye Systems
Built for trophy greenbacks, heavy current, stained water, changing light, and the wind and depth of Lake Winnipeg. The Starter Pack introduces the Hecla Hammer system with four proven colors across 3/8 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1 oz weights. The Pro Pack expands the selection with eight confidence colors in the primary 1/2 oz and 1 oz working weights. The Guide Bundle provides all 14 Hecla Hammer colors in all three weights, while the Heavy Hammer Bundle covers the complete 1 oz color system for maximum big-water control. -
Canadian Shield Walleye, Northern Pike, and Lake Trout Systems
Built for clear, rocky, island-filled waters where anglers may move between reefs, points, breaks, weed edges, and deeper structure throughout the day. The Essentials Pack provides a dependable 3/8 oz foundation. The Border Pack adds 1/4 oz options for shallower water, lighter presentations, and controlled minnow fishing. The Guide Pack expands coverage from 1/4 oz through 1 oz for walleye and northern pike, with heavier options for deeper structure and lake trout opportunities. -
Fall River Walleye System
Built for river fishing where current, depth, wind, and water clarity can change throughout the day. The system combines 3/8 oz Snake Eye jigs for lighter current and controlled drifts, 1/2 oz EyeCons for moderate current and vertical presentations, and 1 oz Hecla Hammers for deeper water, stronger current, and added control. Four-inch Z-Man plastics provide natural, bright, dark, and high-visibility forage options. -
Fall Lake Trout System
Built for lake trout fishing when depth, wind, forage size, and fish activity determine the presentation. The system pairs 1/2 oz Hecla Hammers with shallower water and slower presentations, while 1 oz Hecla Hammers provide faster drops and better vertical control in deeper water. Four-inch plastics cover compact baitfish profiles, six-inch plastics provide a larger target for aggressive trout, and 30 lb SureLine braid completes the system with strength, sensitivity, and low-stretch control.
Prepare for the Conditions That Change
Choose the system that matches your destination and species first. Then select the level of coverage that fits your trip—from a focused Starter or Essentials Pack to a complete Guide system with additional colors, weights, and redundancy.
Trip ready does not mean carrying everything. It means carrying the right options for the water you expect to fish and understanding why each one is in the box.
