Why Blue Chrome
Blue Chrome is a natural baitfish pattern for clear water and fisheries where walleye, northern pike, and lake trout are feeding on shiners, smelt, ciscoes, or other silver-sided forage. The chrome finish produces strong reflective flash, while the blue adds contrast without making the presentation overly complicated.
We would start with Blue Chrome in clear water, bright conditions, or whenever fish are actively feeding on suspended baitfish.

Choosing Your Weight
Lighter Clackers provide a slower, more controlled presentation for shallow water or less aggressive fish. Heavier models reach depth faster, maintain better control in current, and provide a larger presentation for pike and lake trout.

How We’d Fish It
Use controlled lifts and pauses when fish are neutral or pressured. When fish are aggressive, sharper snaps increase the spoon’s flash, vibration, and sound. Match the weight to the depth and current so the spoon remains easy to control and stays in the strike zone.
The Clacker can be fished vertically through the ice or from a boat, cast along structure and weed edges, or trolled when covering water.
