We built the Fall River Walleye System because river conditions change fast, and the tackle that works in one stretch may not be right in the next.

Current changes. Depth changes. Wind changes. Water clarity changes. Fish reposition.

The goal was not to build a bigger jig box. It was to build a compact system that gives an angler a logical next move when conditions change.

Why River Walleye Need a Different Approach

River fishing puts a premium on control.

Too little weight and the jig gets pushed away from the fish. Too much weight and the presentation can become unnecessarily heavy.

The right jig depends on:

• Water depth
• Wind
• Boat position

• Whether you are drifting, pitching, or fishing vertically

That is why we built the system around three different jig designs and three different jobs.

3/8 oz Snake Eye — Lighter Current and Controlled Drifts

The 3/8 oz Snake Eye is the lighter end of the system.

We like it when:

• Current is manageable
• Water is shallower
• You are making controlled drifts
• You want a slower presentation
• You can stay in contact without adding unnecessary weight

If 3/8 oz gives you the control you need, there is no reason to automatically go heavier.

1/2 oz EyeCon — The Working River Jig

The 1/2 oz EyeCon sits in the middle of the system and is the weight we expect to handle a lot of everyday river conditions.

We move to it when:

• Current increases
• You move into deeper water
• You need more bottom contact
• Boat control becomes more demanding
• You still want a precise presentation

The EyeCon is not just a heavier version of the Snake Eye.

It gives the angler another presentation and another level of control.

1 oz Hecla Hammer — When Conditions Demand More

There are times when 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz are simply not enough.

That is where the 1 oz Hecla Hammer earns its place.

We use it when:

• Current gets stronger
• Water gets deeper
• Wind makes boat control more difficult
• You need a faster drop
• Maintaining bottom contact becomes the priority
• You want additional flash and vibration

It is not there because heavier is automatically better.

It is there because sometimes heavier is what keeps you fishing effectively.

The Progression Is the Point

The system gives you a simple progression:

3/8 oz Snake Eye → 1/2 oz EyeCon → 1 oz Hecla Hammer

That progression covers the move from lighter current and controlled drifts into moderate river conditions and finally into deeper water, stronger current, or increased wind.

When the conditions change, you should have somewhere to go.

That is the real reason we built the system.

Why We Added 4-Inch Plastics

Jig weight solves only part of the problem.

The fish still have to eat the presentation.

The Fall River Walleye System includes four packs of 4-inch Z-Man plastics:

We chose those plastics to give the angler different looks rather than four versions of the same thing.

The DieZel MinnowZ gives you steady paddle-tail movement and vibration.

The Scented Jerk ShadZ gives you a different profile and action when the fish do not want that constant tail movement.

Who Needs the Fall River Walleye System?

This system is not for every angler.

If you fish the same stretch of river every weekend, know exactly what works there, and already have a complete river tackle system, you may not need it.

But there are several anglers we had specifically in mind when we built it.

• A useful mix of natural, bright, dark, and high-visibility colors
• Proven plastics for the rivers you fish

then you may already have the system.

You do not need to buy another box just because we assembled one.
